Haunting female skull grins with wicked patience, her eyes glowing orange and ringed with floral patterns. The dots formed the structure of death and the blooms masked pure terror. The original artist of this piece is unknown, but my inspiration came from the countless search for different types of skulls. I knew I wanted a design to resonate haunting silence with a touch of stillness. The petals beneath the fiery red and orange eyes is a mask, a mask for wickedness. I chose the colors of black, red, and gold to bring warmth and energy to the piece. The flowers do not mean peace but is a warning that when her gaze finds you, it declares pure terror. Drawn from the unseen and shaped by silence, this artwork was exhibited in "The Dark Show" unfolding within the walls of Confluence Studio Art Gallery, Grand Junction, Colorado.
